What is a bunkhouse?
A bunkhouse or bothy was traditionally used to house cowboys on ranches in North America. The bunkhouse of the late 19th century was usually heated by a wood stove and personal needs were attended to in an outhouse… Don’t worry! Florrie’s is a truly modern bunkhouse and although we do have wood stove heating (from our biomass boiler providing lovely under-floor warmth) you can also enjoy en-suite facilities in all our rooms.
